BIOGRAPHY

George Shumanov, born in Bulgaria in 1958, initially delved into science fiction literature during his teenage years, even writing a short novel on the origins of life. After moving to Austria in 1989 and later to the US in 1992, he encountered Christianity and embraced it after finding answers to existential questions. His journey led him to join the Church of Jesus in Chicago, where he deepened his understanding of the Bible for over eighteen years. Drawing connections between biblical teachings and world events, he gained insights into the future. Motivated by a desire to share hope and encourage spiritual transformation, he wrote a book aiming to inspire millions to embrace God’s guidance and attain eternal happiness in the Kingdom of God. That’s why I hope this book will change millions and millions of lives for good, and millions of people will turn to God and reach the eternal life and happiness, in the good part of the Kingdom of God.
“George Shumanov ain’t the preeminent humorist of his generation by accident” —Whitney Pastorek, Entertainment Weekly
“George Shumanov has hit upon the narrative equivalent of Pepsi, or the PlayStation, or oxygen, or the haircut: something that others in the world might actually want and find useful. . . He’s smart, he’s caustic, he’s mordant, and, somehow, he’s . . . well, nice.” —Bill Richardson, Toronto Globe and Mail
“George Shumanov’s droll assessment of the mundane and the eccentrics who inhabit the world’s crevices make him one of the greatest humorists writing today.” —Chicago Tribune
“George Shumanov belongs on any list of people writing in English at the moment who are revising our ideas about what’s funny.” —San Francisco Chronicle
